Jurong Birdpark Edit page

From Singapore Hotels & Singapore Lifestyle

Jurong Birdpark, (Chinese: 裕廊飞禽公园; Malay: Taman Burung Jurong), with over 9,000 birds belonging to more than 600 species, is one of the world's best in conservation and display of birds in natural settings. This beautifully landscaped 20-hectare (49-acre) park is fun to visit even if you're only mildly interested in our feathered friends. Jurong Birdpark's successes include the world's largest breeding colonies of Humboldt Penguins. Acknowledged as the leading bird park in the region and deeply committed to avian conservation, the award-winning Jurong Birdpark attracts well over a million visitors each year. Internationally, the park was the first in the world to breed the 12-wired Bird of Paradise.
